Senior Uniform Policy

A. Each team representing their State is required to wear the same uniform and style.

B. Each team representing their State can use their own design UNLESS your State  Director requires identical uniforms for all their CHALLENGE CUP teams.

C. Any team not in uniform compliance will lose Home team to the compliant team. If both teams are non-compliant, a double coin-toss will determine Home team. (Examples: different color bottoms, different color/trim shirts, different color hats, etc.)

D. All players on a team shall wear uniform shirts identical in color, trim and style, and all players’ uniforms shall include the State they represent across the front chest and minimal six-inch number on their backs.

E. The Challenge Cup Logo: It shall be displayed on the right sleeve.

F. The State Flag: It shall be displayed on the left sleeve.

G. The following is prohibited from being placed on a Challenge Cup team uniform:

• Any non-USSSA softball sanctioning association name and/or logo.
• Any sponsor and/or company not in good standing with USSSA. Must check with Vic if unsure.

H. The approved numbers are 00-09, 0-99. Duplicate numbers, alphabetical letters and/or roman numerals are not allowed.

I. All players on a team shall wear headwear identical in color. A player is not required to wear headwear. Bucket hats and bandanas are not allowed. If there is a medical reason for wearing a specific type of headwear, it must be brought to the attention of the Event Director.

J. If a shirt was passed on to an emergency player add and has a last name not their own, please notify the umpire before the start of each game. We are trying to prevent game delays due to protests.

K. All players on a team shall wear uniform pants/knickers and/or shorts identical in color.

L. No player whose uniform is not SIMILAR to that of their teammates shall be permitted to participate in a game (Example: player sticks out like a sore thumb)

M. Team Managers/Coaches/Scorekeepers:

• Managers and Coaches (not participating): A Professional appearance with the option of full uniform or shorts; matching other coaches.
• Scorekeeper in the dugout (not participating): A Professional appearance with the option of full uniform or shorts; matching other coaches.
• Non-compliance will result in the person not being allowed on the field of play or dugout.
